Hard cold numbers can be very effective at telling a story, as long as we know how to use them and their relevance in our environment.  Understanding the history of the number and the derivation of it, as well as the pattern that same number has been over time, can be insightful and help determine a desired direction.

The intention of “Measuring Organizational Productivity with Metrics” is to have a conversation about the effective use of analytics, which metrics, KPI’s, and associated tools can and are used in HIM, as well as some strategic and tactical responses that are effective in improving low organizational metrics.
